When is the ceremony?
Thursday, 18 July 2024.

Is there a dress code?
During the week - whatever you want!  On the wedding day, smart but comfortable - it will be warm! No shorts for immediate family and no bright colours.

Will there be a Stag a do?
Yes!
May 30 - June 3 in .... Budapest.

How about driving?
Yes.
It's about a 6 hour drive from Calais (or 4 hours if you are a bit heavy on the ol' accelerator) - you can cross the Channel either via the Channel Tunnel, ferry or small boat (but you may end up in Rwanda if you pick the last option - thanks Suella!). Those we've spoken to already have said that they are happy to drive, so closer to the date, we could even arrange car-shares.
Remember, no lifts are free and be prepared to contribute with either gas, grass or ass.

Can I join at any point during the week?
You can.
But we want this week to not just be a celebration of our marriage, but a celebration of family and friends - so we'd prefer you to come for the whole week.
With the lovely weather, we want you to maximise your stay, truly relax and enjoy a well deserved holiday.

What can I do there?
Besides drinking alcohol, the venue has its own heated swimming pool, cinema room and plenty of space to relax.
The grounds are vast. There are local vineyards and restaurants and great roads to cycle along.
For the children, we'll ensure a couple of games consoles come with us so we can show them no mercy when we beat them at Fifa and Mario Kart!

My partner likes to snore and hog the duvet, could we have a twin room?
We can see what we can do when we confirm numbers.

Are pets allowed?
Whilst we absolutely love animals, no animals will be allowed - this is to protect the venue, the grounds and because it'll simply be far too hot for them. We're not bringing our pets, so you cannot bring yours.

Can I stay at a local hotel, or other accommodation, and come to the wedding?
No. Only those staying at the venue can attend.

What's the weather like?
Hot and sunny (hopefully) with temps in the mid-30s.

What if I can't make it?
Well, it would be very disappointing as you were selected from a pool of more than a thousand potential guests and you'll be missing the best week of the decade. But, we totally understand, we'll be sending formal invites later, so you can tell us your poor excuse then.

Is there a cost?
Let's cut to the chase ... Yes.
We have asked a few of you already for what you thought would be reasonable and fair.
When we have confirmed the cost, we will share it here. We are only asking for this to be paid for adults, and there will be no cost for children (under 18s).
Please expect to contribute about £500-£550 each.
We totally understand that money is tight right now, so we're not asking for anything until a couple of months beforehand.

What is included in the contribution?
You will be able to have full use of the Chateau and its facilities for the duration of your stay.
We want you to treat the week as your very own holiday, so for the week, our Chateau is your Château.
A continental-style breakfast and lunch will be provided every day (volunteers required to prepare and clear away, please). Alcohol and boring drinks will be available.
